Privacy. Is it a question of more control given to us or blanket protection for all our personal information ?

Yes more control in our hands including permission seeking and feedback as to whom and what the information is being used for.
Provide blanket legal power to prosecute offenders to the full degree of the law.
Want to have the best of both worlds, control and legal protection.
I do not mind marketing people having info about me provided I am given something for my trouble.
Either way, I do not believe it will help. Technology is so advance than our laws.
We should worry about something else like environment and lack of food.
The issue here is educating the public about responsibly managing their personal information first. Most problems happen because people are careless.
